Joe Biden looks ready as ever as the former Vice President of the United States stares down into the abyss as he prepares himself for the Presidential bid. Joe Biden has formally being accepted as the Democratic Party’s bid for the 2020 general elections as he will face off the incumbent President Donald Trump during their first Presidential debate in October. Usually the Democratic Party’s nomination speech focuses more on elaborating their game plan for their country for the next four years, Biden’s speech focused more on unity, hope and promise that drew a clear line of contrast between him and Donald Trump.
Biden pledge to serve the country and the population and serve all the Americans as a uniter and healer. “I’ll be a Democratic candidate,” said Biden, but “I will be an American president. I’ll work hard for those who didn’t support me, as hard for them as I did for those who didn’t vote for me. That’s the job of a president, to represent all of us, not just our base or our party. This is not a partisan moment. This must be an American moment.”
Biden’s speech ended the Democratic Party Convention which went off with almost no hitches. Biden’s speech further projected stability, humanity and trustworthiness by many accounts. While the Presidential candidate never names Trump by name even once during his entire encounter, Biden’s words cleared take aim at the current President on his handling of the COVID-19 situation.
While Trump has a history of not mincing his words, after the Democratic Convention ended, the President tweeted against Biden’s speech saying, “In 47 years, Joe did none of the things of which he now speaks. He will never change, just words!”
After Biden’s nomination was formally announced Chinese mouthpiece, The Global Times said that Biden will be a more “smoother” applicant to deal with w.r.t the current administrator on a global scale and will help put America back on track.
