Minnesota Riots Update: Celebrities Take it up a Notch as Many Get on the Streets

Celebs in Bollywood are not taking the recent racial killing silently. As many celebs put out strong worded messages against the Federal Government, many took upped the ante as celebs have choose to join the protests live on Day 7. While the protests have not been contain to death of George Floyd, they have been pertained tothe killings of Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery and so in recent months. Moreover, videos of police using excessive force have flooded the internet which further pushes the agenda of racial profiling and racial killings to the higher gear.

Among the growing list of celebs, Ariana Grande, Jamie Foxx, Halsey, Michael B Jordan, Timothee Chalamet, Kendrick, Kehlani and many other have joined the forces. Many celebs condoned the actions online with many even donating to the law firms that are overseeing the ongoing arrests.On Friday, Foxx even joined the action on the streets and spoke to a larger crowd gathering.

“I think that what you saw on television, to watch this man plead for his life,” Foxx said. “As I sit with my two daughters, my nephews what it does is, it over-complicates everything as a Black man trying to tell his son or his daughter how to function in life. Even the things that we’ve taught them don’t seem to work.”

Insecure star Kendrick Sampson had been shot at by cops. “LAPD shot me with a projectile when nobody was doing anything other than just standing there,” he explained on Twitter. “They did way worse to the POC and especially Black folks there.”

However, not everyone experience the same violent forms of protests as Grande noted, “hours and miles of peaceful protesting yesterday that got little to no coverage.”
